Islamabad, 12 August 2021 (TDI): Netherlands Ambassador to Pakistan, Wouter Plomp has urged the people to see Surayya’s story, a farmer woman from Vehari district in Punjab.

Surayya Parveen started a dairy farm with three cows in 2008 and worked hard to understand the whole process. Later, Surayya Parveen in collaboration with Friesland Campina Engro Pakistan Limited adopted different techniques to take care of her cows, dairy farm and learned how to feed animals. To help Surayya Parveen with her dairy farm management, FCEPL’s technical team provides its services all the time. FCEPL, a Pakistan Dairy Product Company is a subordinate of Dutch Multinational Cooperative Friesland Campina. Surayya Parveen has achieved the target of dairy farming with nearly 100 cows at her farm, which was made possible with the cooperation of FCEPL.

Ambassador Wouter Plomp further stated that in his visit to Sahiwal, he had a chance to meet with the dedicated farmers, women, and men of the city. His support to the people has been invaluable as Pakistan and the Netherlands share the same passion for women’s empowerment in small industries.
