Japanese PM extends condolences to Haiti

Tokyo, 18 August 2021 (TDI): A devastating earthquake shook Haiti on the 14th of August resulting in the loss of many precious lives. On 16 August, 2021, Mr. Suga Yoshide, the Prime Minister of Japan, expressed his condolences to H.E. Ariel Henry, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Haiti. He grieved for the bereaved families and felt saddened by the extensive damage caused by the earthquake. On behalf of the Japanese government, he extended his earnest condolences and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured victims. In addition, he announced his willingness to provide Japan’s support to overcoming this catastrophe.
