Antananarivo, 9 October 2021 (TDI): The Japanese Ambassador to Madagascar, Higuchi Yoshi, tabled talks with Rakotondrazaka, the Minister of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene of the Republic of Madagascar.
The purpose of the meeting was to shed light on various clean water projects running under the cooperation of Japan and the Republic of Madagascar.
Along with it, the Japanese Ambassador also discussed various development projects with the Minister of Water.

Later, the talks turned towards the development of drinking water projects in the Toamasina and in the Southern region. Japan is planning to triple the capacity of Toamasina port of Madagascar by 2026.
The meeting ended on a friendly note. Both Japan and Madagascar share cordial relations and desire to further strengthen their ties with mutual cooperation.
