Islamabad, 30 November 2021 (TDI): The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, WADA Mitsuhiro congratulated the Pakistani boxing champion, Muhammad Waseem on becoming the World Boxing Council silver champion, yet again.
The Ambassador extended sincere felicitations to the boxer, his family, as well as the people of Pakistan, respectively. Ambassador WADA Mitsuhiro lauded Muhammad Waseem’s brilliant performance. He commended Waseem’s latest achievement and said that he had made his country proud yer again.
Muhammad Waseem is also known as Falcon Waseem because of his swift style of boxing. He is the most successful professional boxer in Pakistan. He is the only one who has made a comeback by becoming WBC silver flyweight champion for the second time.
Waseem made history and won the accolade by defeating Rober Barrera of Columbia, in Dubai, on 26th November. He took to his official Twitter account to share the triumphant news.

Waseem gained popularity in 2015. He contested for the International Boxing Federation flyweight title, in 2018. Flyweight is a weight category in combat sports like boxing. He has an excellent record of 11 wins and only one defeat.
Prior to this, he represented Pakistan in the Commonwealth and Asian Games where he won medals. He has also won a gold medal in the World Military Games. With the recent triumph in Dubai, Waseem has qualified for the World Boxing Association world title bout and WBC.
