Japan grant Aid of ¥ 110 Million to Maldives.

Maldives, 15 July 2021(TDI):  The Maldives Government and the Government of Japan signed an exchange of letters, awarding the Maldives 110 million yen.

The Japanese Ambassador to the Maldives for the Japanese Human Resources Development Project (JDS) in 2022) Yanai Keiko signed the record at a ceremony held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. The scholarship will be used to provide 6 scholarships to the Maldives this year.

The project was implemented by the Japanese government last year to further promote the development of talent in the Maldives. The first grant Maldives human resources development-related grants, a preliminary agreement was signed in 2020.

It is composed of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Japanese Embassy, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
