New York (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Eng. Waleed Abdul Karim El-Khereiji.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar appreciated the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for further strengthening bilateral economic and security cooperation with the Kingdom.
In this regard, Ishaq Dar admired Saudi Arabia’s role in regional peace and stability. He added that it is only possible under the leadership of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, who has a crucial role in establishing regional peace and stability.

Both leaders have shared their mutual support in trade, investment, and commercial sectors in such a scenario. In this sense, both countries have recognized the deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The two leaders engaged in a comprehensive discussion on the prevailing situation in the Middle East, mainly focusing on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank. They urged the full enforcement of the Gaza ceasefire and stressed the need for uninterrupted humanitarian aid to ease the Palestinian people’s suffering.

Additionally, they called for the timely initiation of reconstruction efforts and firm support for a two-state solution. They also recognized the significant role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), encouraging their shared commitment to strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Arabia ties for regional peace, stability, and the collective well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
