Karachi, 22 January 2023 (TDI): Ships and submarines from the Iranian Navy visited Karachi and took part in a naval exercise with the Pakistani Navy (PN).
The Iranian consulate staff and PN officials welcomed the visiting flotilla warmly upon their arrival at Karachi port, and both nations’ national anthems were played as a sign of respect.
The recent visit of the Iranian Navy to Pakistan serves as a reminder of the importance of collaborating in order to protect maritime trade routes and seafarers in the region.
Both navies engaged in mutually beneficial professional interactions, exchange visits, and roundtable discussions on topics of interest while in port. A passage exercise between the two navies was conducted after the visit to improve naval cooperation.
The Iranian navy ships’ visit to Pakistan is a sign of the two nations’ close bilateral ties and commitment to maintaining regional peace.
