Teheran, 5 October 2021 (TDI): After the devasting tropical cyclone in Oman, Iran took diplomatic action on the matter.
In Oman, the National Committee for Emergency Management announced on Monday afternoon seven additional deaths from the storm.
Today at least 13 deaths are still reported. Therefore, Iran’s Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian expressed Iran’s readiness to help Oman. According to the valuable relations between both nations, he stressed the need to further develop bilateral cooperation and to implement joint projects.
Especially, when state capacity building in crisis response is challenging.
For his part, Albusaidi said the Omani government has taken control of the situation regarding the tropical cyclones. In the same way, he appreciated the intentions of the Iranian government to strengthen diplomatic ties with the Sultanate.
