Iranian Ambassador Urges Closer Media Cooperation with Pakistan

Islamabad (TDI): Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, has emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Iran, particularly in the fields of media, culture, and public engagement.

Speaking at the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation headquarters, the ambassador met with Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Shaikh, highlighting that closer collaboration in these areas could foster greater understanding between the people of both nations.

“Iran and Pakistan share deep-rooted historical, cultural, and religious ties,” Moghaddam said, noting that such connections provide a strong foundation for expanded collaboration.

He expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its diplomatic support during the twelve-day Iran-Israel conflict in June, acknowledging Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the government’s solidarity during that period.

The ambassador suggested that both countries have significant potential to strengthen media cooperation and high-level exchanges. He encouraged leveraging this opportunity to achieve mutual benefits.

Moghaddam also extended an invitation to the Director General of Radio Pakistan to visit Iran to discuss initiatives aimed at enhancing media collaboration between the two countries.
