Tehran, 14 July 2022 (TDI): The Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Iran, Naser Kanani, said that establishing peace and stability in the region requires a practical change in the United States’ destructive behavior. Kanani made these remarks while addressing his press conference on Wednesday.

“In the coming days, we will witness important visits from the heads of neighboring countries and the region to Iran, this is a sign of strong Iran by using active and balanced diplomacy,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
All of Iran’s nuclear activities are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). “The Zionist regime, having a nuclear arsenal and not being a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, is not allowed to comment on Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities,” the spokesperson further noted.
“International bodies have the responsibility to deal with the nuclear situation of the Zionist regime and force this regime to be subject to non-proliferation regulations and comply with international requirements and obligations in this regard,” he also added.
“We are optimistic that the differences between Iran and Afghanistan will decrease in light of both sides’ will,” Kanani said.
“Several rounds of joint border committee talks have been held. There is a will and a positive outlook on both sides to expand border cooperation”, he added.
Hamid Nouri’s Arrest
“Hamid Nouri’s arrest did not have a proper judicial basis,” he said. And unfortunately, the political atmosphere of the terrorist movement has provided the ground for the illegal arrest of an Iranian citizen, he also added.
“We expect Sweden to put aside the political view of Hamid Nouri’s case from the perspective of a hostile movement. And provide the ground for his release as soon as possible”, he further stated.
Establishing stability and security in the region will only be achieved through the regional states’ cooperation, he said.
US Sanctions
If the United States provides the necessary guarantees, the Islamic Republic of Iran will return to the agreement. Returning to the 2015 agreement is the fundamental position of Iran.
The US administration should also guarantee Iran’s defined economic interests within the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan for Action (JCPOA).
Iran-Russia Relations
“Russia is one of Iran’s serious partners, and like China, it is very important for us. The relations between Iran and Russia are moving forward in the light of the leaders’ political will,” Kanani also said.
“It is necessary to have a comprehensive agreement as a road map for developing all-out relations between Iran and Russia,” he further added.
