Tehran (TDI): Iran and Turkiye strongly condemned Israel’s attack on the residential areas in Beirut, Lebanon which coincided with International Quds Day.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei said that the attacks are a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
Baqaei strongly condemned Israel’s deadly attack, calling it a serious violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and land.
He asked the United Nations and other groups responsible for the ceasefire that they must take action.

He urged the international community to step up immediately to stop Israeli aggression and to implement the ceasefire again.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman further added that the excuses made by the Zionist regime to justify the aggression against Lebanon are completely useless and baseless.
He urged the international community to take decisive measures to confront the occupying regime’s continuous violations of international law in the region from Gaza to Lebanon and Syria and also the regime’s increasing threats against global peace and security.

On the other hand, Turkiye also condemned the latest attack by Israel on Lebanon and the violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye said that Ankara is firmly standing with the people of Lebanon and urged the International Community to take harsh actions against Israel to stop the aggression and genocide.

A day back, Israel carried out an air strike on Lebanon’s capital for the first time since a truce between the Israeli army and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah in November 2024 halted a war between the two in Gaza.
