Furthermore, he stressed that the Iranian Foreign Ministry has its legal norms and that it will spare no effort in protecting the rights of Iranian citizens.
The necessary instructions have been issued to the Iranian Interests Section in Washington, D.C., as well as to other Iranian diplomatic and consular missions in South America. According to the spokesman, these instructions are meant to help compatriots who have been expelled from the US.
Baqaei asserted that Iran is the homeland of all Iranians and that compatriots are free to return and move within their country without any restrictions. The foreign ministry is ready to facilitate this process and assist in resolving any issues.
The remarks come as the first flight carrying migrants from Iran, Afghanistan, China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam arrived in Panama on Wednesday. Still, two flights carrying illegal immigrants will land in Panama in the upcoming days.
