Islamabad, 6 November 2021 (TDI): Indonesian Embassy in Pakistan held an “Appreciation Night”. The event was organized to acknowledge and appreciate the business community and friends of Indonesia and ASEAN.
The services of the business community to enhance the bilateral ties are commendable and worth recognition. The event was also organized to commemorate the 76th Indonesian Independence Day and the 54th Anniversary of the ASEAN.
The event began with the national anthems of Indonesia and Pakistan and the ASEAN Hymn. Later the cake cutting ceremony was performed by the Indonesian Ambassador, Adam Tugio.
The event also promoted the Indonesian culture through various performances. The performances included Nandak Ganjen Dance, Topeng Ireng Dance, and Pencak silat attractions. Culinary delights and videos about Indonesia and ASEAN were also presented.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude during the event. He appreciated the contribution and role of the business community in improving investment and trade relations. As a result, ties are stronger than ever between Indonesia-Pakistan and ASEAN-Pakistan.
He enunciated that despite COVID-19 driven global economic recession; economic and trade relations between Indonesia and Pakistan continue to thrive.
Heads of ASEAN Missions in Islamabad, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Diplomats attended the event. President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), and President of Pakistan- ASEAN Business Forum were also there. The business community also participated in the celebration.
