Indonesia developing trade cooperation in Kenya

Nairobi, 11 September 2021 (TDI): Indonesia has launched the Hybrid Trade Showcase 2021 to promote trade and investment in Kenya.

The Indonesian Embassy is collaborating with Kareem International, an Indonesian export aggregator company, to foster Indonesian commodities to businesses in Kenya and other African countries.

Kenyan and Indonesian diplomats, including Trade PS Ambassador Johnson Weru, Tourism, and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno, West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi Ansharullah, Ambassador Yusra Khan, and Indonesian Ambassador to Kenya Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin, attended the virtual launch.

Minister Uno demonstrated his willingness to collaborate with partners, including the Indonesian Embassy, to revitalise the economy by exploring and developing trade cooperation opportunities.

He also stated that the African market is large and promising and that it can assist Indonesian MSMEs in expanding their trade with the developing African region.
