New Delhi, 11 September 2023 (TDI): Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi concluded the G20 Summit in New Delhi by ceremoniously handing over the gavel to Brazil, marking the transition of the bloc’s Presidency on Sunday.
“We have unwavering faith that they will lead with dedication, and vision and will further global unity as well as prosperity. India assures all possible cooperation to Brazil during their upcoming G20 Presidency”, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Furthermore while expressing his thoughts he stated, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet. This is the motto of Brazil’s Presidency of the G20.
Actions that guide us in the actions of the federal government in our country and now at the head of the G20” Said the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

“We are not interested in a divided G20. Only with joint action can we face the challenges of our days. We need peace and cooperation instead of conflict” said the Brazilian President.
“The path that will take us from New Delhi to Rio de Janeiro will require a lot of dedication and commitment from everyone.
We will welcome the members of the G20 with open arms. See you in November 2024” he delivered his message through the social media app, ‘X’.
After the G20 Summit 2023 concluded, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio da Silva as he formally transferred the G20 presidency to Brazil.
Meanwhile, the Indian Prime Minister engaged in bilateral discussions with Brazil’s President on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi. During their meeting, they explored avenues to enhance trade and collaboration in agriculture and technology.
“I spoke with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi about the 75 years of diplomatic relations between our countries.
We took stock of the G20 and talked about agricultural development and the potential of the Brazil-India Business Leaders Forum and the Global Alliance for Biofuels.
And I thanked the Indian people for their hospitality” said the President of Brazil. Brazil is set to assume the Presidency of the elite grouping officially on December 1.
