Islamabad, 30 August 2021 (TDI): Ministry of National Health services, Regulations, and Coordination launched the Sehat Sahulat Program on 25th August 2021. The government of Pakistan launched the project with the Collaboration of WHO and the Marie stopes society Pakistan.
The event took place in Islamabad. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on NHSRC, and Dr. Palitha Gunarathna, WHO Representative in Pakistan inaugurated the occasion. The inaugural ceremony hosted representatives of different departments.
WHO Representative in the inaugural speech assured the WHO resolute support for the Sehat Sahulat Program; an OPD Pilot Project in Islamabad. The official further added that WHO is proud to partake in the project and its implementation. Dr. Palitha Gunarathna told the ceremony that WHO will be taking forward endorsements from the program based on evidence.
