Islamabad, 3 September 2021 (TDI): On Friday, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Imran Khan virtually attended a forum on the 20th anniversary of “Juncao Assistance and Sustainable Development Cooperation,” held in Beijing.
During the meeting, Imran Khan expressed his commitment to undertaking the challenges of climate change, poverty, and sustainable growth. Khan said that the demand for food and other important essentials has become a greater challenge following the outbreak of Covid-19 and slowed progress around the globe. Imran Khan further stated that Juncao technology is the initiative that helps low-scale farmers in development and commercialization.
Khan appreciated Chinese President Xi Jinping’s objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. He also praised China’s performance in poverty alleviation. Imran Khan highlighted that our ”Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program” is the initiative to help the most vulnerable people from economic crisis following the Covid-19 pandemic.
