Dhahran, 21 February 2022 (TDI): International Maritime Industries (IMI) and Columbia Ship-Management (CSM) have prolonged their corporation by signing a memorandum of contract (MoA).

The MoU will enhance Saudi Arabia’s abilities in ship-building, ship restoration, and engineering quality.

International Maritime Industries (IMI), is the major dockyard in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region.

Both parties will increase the current relationship and will provide quality and maintainable manufacturing, newbuild management, and vessel design to Saudi Market.

The deal comes only six months after both corporations decided to an agreement to explore prospects in several areas within the maritime sector.

CMS will work closely with IMI, a world-leading supplier of ship supervision and maritime facilities, to support its vision of becoming a fully cohesive worldwide maritime service.

CMS facility range, engineering skills, and a global network of consumers and partners will help support IMI’s continuing development.

Dr. Abdullah Al Ahmari, the CEO of IMI, said that he was pleased to have signed this agreement with CMS, a company that is committed to supporting IMI’s efforts of building a world-class, technologically advanced shipyard that will drive the development of the maritime industry in Saudi Arabia.

The partnership will be further enhanced by CMS acting as an official consultant for IMI in the area of ‘sensitization technology’ for vessel performer optimization, engineering solutions, vessels design, and newbuild planning and supervision.

Moreover, CMS will actively promote IMI’s current services and technology to both current and possible consumers sourced through its wide worldwide network.
