Male, 13 September 2021 (TDI): H.E Andras Laszlo Kiraly, Ambassador of Hungary to the Maldives, presented his letter of credence to Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, President of Maldives.
President Solih welcomed Ambassador Andras Lazlo and congratulated him on the commencement of his term. Both sides have made positive steps in strengthening and cultivating bilateral ties over the years. The President thanked Hungary for its support towards Maldives candidature during the 76th United Nations General Assembly Elections.
Both parties will explore new areas of cooperation. In addition, Ambassador affirmed commitment to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interests i.e. trade, economy, finance, and tourism. Also, the agenda of climate change and repercussions were on priority. Both sides committed to strengthening bilateral relations between Male and Budapest.
