Muzaffarabd, 3 February 2023 (TDI): The Huawei Ideahub S2 Launch Event was jointly organized by Huawei Technologies Pakistan, Awan Distribution, and CDigital. It took place at Pearl Continental (PC) in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK).
Senior Minister AJK; Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Secretary Tourism AJK; Midhat Shehzad, Director AJK IT Board; Dr. Khalid Rafique, and other government representatives were present at the launch ceremony.
It is pertinent to note that for many years, Awan Distribution and partner CDigital have worked to bring about a digital transformation in AJK.
Now, with Huawei technologies and its solution IdeaHub S2, they will continue to work to address the Video Conferencing challenges that organizations in Azad Jammu Kashmir face.
In an effort to deliver and implement cutting-edge, industry-leading technology for organizations of all sizes and scopes, Huawei continues to enter and explore new markets in Pakistan’s northern region.
Customers from the public and educational sectors, including the AJK IT board, the University of Azad Jammu Kashmir, and SCO AJK, attended the event.
Customers were given a live demonstration of the IdeaHub S2, during which different IdeaHub solutions, such as those for smart offices, classrooms, and schools, were discussed.

Smart IdeaHub features like split screen multi-application use and intelligent smart camera tracking were demonstrated during the presentation. Additionally demonstrated were intelligent handwriting recognition and automatic shape detection.
In his remarks Essam Baghdadi, President of Awan Distribution statement “We would like to thank our Partner Huawei Technologies and the dignitaries of AJK who attended our event and added value, knowledge, and insight to the product launch.
It reflects a deep understanding of fast-growing IT knowledge and implementation in this highly educated territory of the great nation of Pakistan which would have not been possible without Huawei’s support.”
Whilst addressing the participants, Dr. Khalid Rafique, Director of IT Board, AJK appreciated the efforts by saying.
In this vein, he stated that “We appreciate Huawei and Awan Distribution efforts and we should certainly conduct more conferences like these in AJK to excel. This event can prove to be a milestone for facilitating education through smart classrooms in AJK”.
Aside from that, Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Senior Minister of Local government and Rural Development added that “Huawei, Awan Distribution, and CDigital did an amazing job with this event.
He went on to reiterate that “it’s really something to be appreciated. Such events and programs will definitely help IT advancements in Azad Jammu Kashmir”.
