Washington (TDI): With just under 48 hours remaining in the US presidential race, early voting trends suggest a lead for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in key battleground states, according to a recent poll by the New York Times and Siena College.
The data shows that among those who have already cast their ballots, Harris holds an 8% lead over her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump,
However, Trump remains ahead among voters who are yet to vote but indicate a strong likelihood of doing so, according to The Guardian.
In the battleground landscape, Harris maintains a slight edge in three states, with Trump leading in one.

The race remains tight in three other key states, where results could swing either way.
As the final hours of campaigning unfold, Harris is concentrating her efforts in Michigan, a critical swing state.
Trump Sparks Controversy
Meanwhile, Trump held a rally in Pennsylvania, where he courted controversy with remarks targeting the media.
Expressing frustration about security arrangements at the rally, he referenced gaps in the bulletproof barriers around him and joked he wouldn’t mind if reporters were targeted in an assassination attempt.
“To get to me, somebody would have to shoot through the fake news—and I don’t mind that so much,” Trump remarked, while also labeling the press as “seriously corrupt people.”
