Morocco:29 June 2021 (TDI): On Monday, the Kingdom of Morocco and The European Union has announced to set up a Green Partnership project. The event was held via video link due to the pandemic. Under this, both countries will unite their efforts against environmental issues. The EU and Morocco will cooperate in the field of energy, and fight against Global warming and promote the green economy. This is the first initiative of the EU with a partner country that will aim to enhance the external dimensions of the European Green Deal.
The new partnership is intended to build policies for the protected environment. To promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation under the green economy in the region.
The announcement was made by government officials, including Foreign Minister Mr.Naseer Bourita, African Cooperation Mr. Mohammad Benchaaboun, the European Commission’s Vice President Mr. Oliver Varhelyi, and Minister of Energy and mines attended the meeting. Both the parties are already collaborating and will present a report in the framework of the Energy Transit Council under the partnership of COP 26, which was established in November 2021
