Athens, 15 September 2021 (TDI): The Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andreas Katsaniotis, met with the Australian Ambassador to Greece, Arthur Spyrou.
This was the Deputy Foreign Minister’s first meeting with the Australian Ambassador after his assumption of office two weeks ago.
The meeting underlined the cordial relationship between the two countries. Both officials accepted that there is an excellent level of cooperation between the countries. Both officials were keen to maintain confidence through diplomatic engagement.
Both officials stressed the need to take steps to further strengthen the bilateral relationships and increase cooperation in a different sectors, especially one that facilitates the 400,000 strong Greek diasporas in Australia.
Finally, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his desire to visit Australia soon.
