About Global Peace:
Global Peace is an initiative by ACCORD (African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes), which is a civil society organization working to reduce violence in collaboration with the United Nations (UN), African Union (AU), and Regional Economic Communities (RECs).
ACCORD has impacted policy, trained over 20,000 Africans, and aided in the resolution of nearly all of Africa’s long wars.
Moreover, the ACCORD’s experience in continuing to work to lessen conflicts in Africa illustrates that peace is more than just the absence of violence; it is also the absence of poverty, unemployment, and inequality.
Global Peace has strengthened its vision since its foundation and has acquired the essential strategic assistance to establish Global Peace by using ACCORD’s political capital and worldwide network.
