Germany to install Covid-19 vaccination plant In Africa

Berlin, 30 September 2021 (TDI): BioNTech, the German Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers, is planning to launch a Covid-19 vaccine research and production plant in Africa to help the African countries fight against COVID-19.

The German Vaccine producers BioNTech have decided to launch their production plant in Africa by 2022. Under this project, Germany has already provided 20 million Euros in initial funding in June to the Institut Pasteur de Dakar in Senegal. 

The first phase of the production plant installation by BioNTech will initiate from April 2022. Along with it, in June 2021, the Federal Development Minister of Germany Gerd Muller said that this project would jump-start the fight against Covid-19 in Africa. 

Lastly, BioNTech, with the help of the Covid-19 vaccine, is planning to research and develop vaccines against tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV/AIDS. This will help Africa fight against deadly diseases in the near future.
