EU Ambassadors meet Egyptian policy makers

Cairo, 30 September 2021 (TDI): The European Union Ambassador and Diplomats tabled talks with the Chair, Deputy-Chair, and members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Rights Committee of the Upper and Lower House of Egypt.

The agenda of this conference was to discuss the newly announced National Human Rights Strategy launched last week by the government of Egypt under the Ministry of Human Rights. The President of Egypt, Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi, launched the New National Human Rights Strategy that plans for an integrated strategy to promote the principles of Egypt’s development vision.

The European Union Ambassadors discussed the human rights development policies of the Egyptian government to protect the social, economic, and political rights of the people of Egypt. The government officials briefed the EU ambassador about the strategy that will focus on human rights development from 2021-26. 

The meeting proved beneficial, and EU ambassadors and the government of Egypt decided to work on mutual cooperation for Human Rights Development.
