Nur-Sultan, 13 August 2021 (TDI): On Thursday, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Armed Forces of Pakistan General Nadeem Raza reached Kazakhstan where he was received by Kazakhstan’s Defence Minister Lieutenant General Nurlan Yermekbayev.
General Nadeem is on an official visit to Kazakhstan. During his meeting with the Minister, he discussed the current dynamics of military relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Both sides stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the military sphere, especially, in the areas of military training and education. The parties welcomed the idea of sending joint military missions in UN peacekeeping assignments. The meeting also included discussions on regional dynamics and security situations. Besides, General Nadeem will also visit the National Defence University of Kazakhstan in Astana.
After his arrival on Thursday, General Nadeem Raza also held a meeting with General staff Chief Lieutenant General Murat Bektanov, the First Deputy Defence Minister of Kazakhstan.
