Washington D.C (TDI): The G7+ foreign Ministers articulate serious apprehensions regarding the deployment of DPRK troops to Russia in a statement released by U.S Department of States.
These minsters are from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the High Representative of the European Union. Thousands of DPRK troops have been stationed in Russia.
The DPRK’s direct assistance to Russia’s aggressive campaign against Ukraine, in addition to highlighting Russia’s urgent attempts to mitigate its losses, would signify a perilous escalation of the conflict, with grave implications for peace and security in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.
This would constitute an additional violation of international law, encompassing the core principles of the UN Charter according to the statement.
The G7+ states unequivocally denounce the escalating military collaboration between the DPRK and Russia, particularly the DPRK’s export and Russia’s illicit acquisition of DPRK ballistic missiles, which contravenes several UN Security Council resolutions (UNSCRs), alongside Russia’s deployment of these missiles and munitions against Ukraine.
The provision or receipt of instruction or assistance by DPRK personnel concerning ballistic missiles or weaponry is a blatant breach of UN Security Council resolutions 1718, 1874, and 2270.

All these states reiterate their steadfast commitment to help Ukraine in its defense of freedom, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
Furthermore, they are collaborating with international partners for a unified reaction to this recent development.
