Former Maldivian President interacts with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister


Male, 3 September 2021 (TDI): The Former President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed met the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, at the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF).

Mohamed Nasheed expressed his delight at meeting Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister during the Forum. He appreciated the policies and leadership implemented by Momen on CVF. The Former President gave the deserved credit to Bangladesh for encouraging other vulnerable states to stand up through its leadership.

The President believes that such policies and work would bring about positive results at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference in 2021, also known as COP26. The conference is scheduled to take place between November 1 and 12, 2021, in Glasgow, Scotland, under the auspices of the United Kingdom.
