Kyiv, 21 July 2022 (TDI): Foreign Ministers of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavský, and Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, visited Ukraine on Wednesday.
The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, and President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, met the Foreign Ministers of the Czech Republic and Austria.
Foreign Ministers meeting:
The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, announced that they discussed imposing further sanctions on Russia. He said Russia should be held accountable for the war crimes it has committed over the few months.
In addition, the three Foreign Ministers also discussed increasing arms deliveries and support for Ukraine on international platforms. They also debated opportunities for cooperation to support Ukraine’s economy.

The Foreign Minister of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, assured that Austria would continue its support for Ukraine.

Jan Lipavský, the Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, also guaranteed that the Czech Republic would help Ukraine in its membership in European Union as the EU President.

The Ukrainian Foreign minister concluded that he was grateful for the support. He said that it bought hopes and confidence for the Ukrainians to win the war against Russia.
Visiting Ukrainian cities and meeting different officials:
During the visit, the two Foreign Ministers visited cities like Hostomel and Irpin and met with other Ukrainian government officials.
The Foreign Minister of Austria wrote on Twitter that although he was glad to be back in Ukraine, he was devastated to see what Russia’s aggression has caused.

Jan Lipavský also wrote that he had visited Ukraine just before the war. He said that he was heartbroken to see the situation of Ukrainian cities now.

Foreign Ministers meeti Ukrainian President:
The Foreign Ministers also met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They discussed providing further support and aid to Ukraine.
Alexander Schallenberg said he was deeply impressed by the confidence and strength with which Ukraine was fighting against Russian aggression. He said that Austria will continue to support Ukraine to win this unjustified war.

The Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic also assured Czech’s support for Ukraine. Furthermore, he said that Prague would also help Ukraine in reconstruction once they win the war.
