Foreign Ministers Japan, Brunei discuss bilateral relations

Tokyo, 8 september 2021 (TDI): Foreign minister of Japan, Motegi Toshimitsu, held a telephonic conversation with the Office of the Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honorable Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan. Both country representatives discussed the current situation in Myanmar (Burma), and Erywan discussed the latest situation in ASEAN with Foreign Minister Motegi.

According to the official tweet of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, both ministers talked about the mutual cooperation. Moreover, Motegi Toshimitsu said that the Government Japan will provide 50,000 N95 masks to the Brunei as support under the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) due to COVID-19 pandemic.
