Islamabad, 22 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a meeting with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Josep Borrell Fontelles. This meeting was a part of his engagements on the sidelines of the 76th United Nations General Assembly session.
The officials discussed matters related to bilateral relations of Pakistan and European Union (EU), and current developments in Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood shared his concerns over unwarranted references in European Union Resolution on Afghanistan.
He also apprised Josep Borrell of Pakistan’s continued efforts in promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood highlighted the sacrifices, Pakistan has made in war against terrorism as well as its efforts in evacuating official and diplomats of international organizations and governments from Kabul.
