Philippines President addresses at UNGA’s 76th session

The President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte delivered his speech to United Nations General Assembly on the 76th session.

Manila, 22 September 2021 (TDI): On Tuesday, the President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte delivered his speech to United Nations General Assembly on the 76th session and raised the issues of the drug war, peace, and stability for humanity, COVID-19 pandemic severe conditions, and climatic changes all across the globe.

Duterte has stressed that the world is in dire need of collective efforts to cater to the global crisis for the imposition of a peaceful world. Cooperation among the countries is truly a meaningful solution to bring stability in the world, as the Diterte administration has worked out at the forefront through their policies, programs, and plans which have a huge collective global action.

Duterte said that as a respected member of the United Nation, by 2030 his country is committed to reducing greenhouse gas effects by 75 percent, and also has contributed to the protection of the environment and climate changes.

Future more, President aimed to continue sustainable development programs and protection of human rights programs which help the Philippines to suppress the lawless element of society. He also determined to expand multilateral relations with ASEAN to ensure peace in the southern side.
