Harare, 11 January 2023 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Turkiye, Mevlut Cavusoglu is in Zimbabwe to bolster bilateral relations between Turkiye and Zimbabwe.

The Foreign Minster began his state visit to the country yesterday, 10 January 2023. Upon his arrival at the airport, he was warmly received by a delegation from the Presidency.

While there, he will be meeting with a high delegation as they discuss his intended purpose. He will be talking about how the two countries’ bilateral relations can be fostered stronger. Also, they will be discussing regional ties.

It is pertinent to note that in recent years the bilateral relations between these two countries have grown stronger over the past years.

The issues of peace and development of each of the countries and also ensuring that the leaders of both countries work together for the good of the people.

The Foreign Minister will also meet with other stakeholders of the country to discuss various initiatives for the exchange of development among them.

The President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa has assured Turkiye that they will continue to promote their relations in all aspects of development.

For the past years, these two countries’ trade partnerships have generated a huge sum of revenue. Ensuring that there are constant trading activities between these two countries.

This is not the first visit of Turkiye’s government officials to Zimbabwe. The President has visited the country earlier and established strong relations between them.

The current visit of the Foreign Minister will mark a historic moment in the relations between these two countries.

It is pertinent to note that, the various relations which exist between these two countries yields great partnership between foreign investors and local ones. Mevlut Cavusoglu has expressed his joy at the welcome he has received so far.
