Islamabad, 20 August 2022 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will travel to Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway at the invitation of his counterparts.
The visit will be from August 22 to August 26, 2022. These are the destinations for the first trip of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan to Europe ever since assuming the role.

In addition to solidifying along with growing bilateral ties with these vital partners, the trips will provide a crucial chance to further improve the diplomatic engagement of Pakistan with Europe and share Pakistan’s perspective on regional and global concerns.
Along with talks with his colleagues in Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo, the Foreign Minister will meet with other dignitaries and interact with the media. The visits’ emphasis would be on further deepening and widening.
Pakistan’s economic interaction with these important export markets, as well as the identification of other prospects for people-to-people contact.
The Foreign Minister is also due to sign a ‘Green Framework Engagement’ deal with Denmark, which will focus on Climate Change Cooperation, a government priority.
Pakistan has long-standing and multifaceted ties with Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. These countries have sizable Pakistani communities and are popular destinations for our students seeking higher education.
Likewise, they have strong investment relations with Pakistan. The trips of Foreign Minister Bilawal would provide additional fuel to Pakistan’s multifaceted engagement with these countries.
Pakistan has had cordial ties based on mutual benefit with the European countries. Pakistan has been collaborating with them in multifarious domains.
These include trade, economy, education, defense as well as infrastructure development. Along these lines, a major chunk of the textiles as well as clothing articles are imported to the EU from Pakistan.
