Sofia, 9 October 2021 (TDI): Svetlan Stoev, the caretaker foreign minister of Bulgaria met with Majlinda Bregu, the Secretary-General of the Regional Cooperation Council.
The Bulgarian foreign minister acknowledged the partnership of Bulgaria with the Regional Cooperation Council. He also appreciated the contribution of the RCC in renovating the regional cooperation and transforming it into a stronger partnership in the region.

Majlinda Bregu also appreciated the support of Bulgaria for the RCC. Bulgaria is one of the founding members of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). SEECP was launched on the Bulgarian initiative in 1996.
They also talked about the developmental projects in the South-East European region which can enhance the cooperation among the member states. She also emphasised the RCC’s commitment to European integration. Furthermore, they discussed the EU enlargement process and the issue of Western Balkans.
