Vienna, 26 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Austria strongly condemned the incident in Kosovo. Serbia attacked the vehicle registration office of Kosovo. It has been six days; Serbia has closed the borders for Kosovo. Vice President of European Commission Josep Borrell said that both sides should de-escalate this situation. Moreover, Josep Borrell Fonteless said that further provocations and actions are not acceptable.
We strongly condemn last night‘s incidents in #Kosovo. Resolution of open issues lies in negotiation, not violence. All parties must refrain from divisive steps and intimidation. The EU-facilitated dialogue is the only way to a peaceful future and #EU integration!

Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg stated that the issue can not be resolved by violence but with negotiations. Schallenberg also said that both parties should refrain from any further steps.
The only way to a peaceful negotiation for the future is European-facilitated dialogue.
