New York, 23 September 2021 (TDI): Edgars Rinkevics, the Foreign Minister of Latvia met with Ruslan Kazakbaev, the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The pinnacle of their discussion was the Central Asian region in which they talked about the sustainable development of the region. Both diplomats agreed that the stability of the Central Asian region depends on the stability of Afghanistan.
The geographical location of Afghanistan is important for about 75% of Asian states as it is the gateway to Central Asia, Middle East as well as South Asia. The terrorist organizations have been taking advantage of the unending instability of Afghanistan and have been operating from there for their inhumane activities in other countries.
