Tokyo, 4 September 2021 (TDI): Japanese Foreign Minister, Toshimitsu Motegi held a meeting with Ville Skinnari, Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Finland, who is visiting Japan to attend the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
Skinnari served as the Chairperson of the Finland-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group. His invaluable efforts contribute to strong bilateral relations in cyber fields and promote cooperation with Finland through Indo-Pacific and international affairs. Skinnari also expressed his delight to participate in the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
As an aftermath of the COVAX Advance Market Commitment (AMC) Summit held in June, both sides agreed to ensure equitable vaccines development. Finally, Motegi requested Finland to lift the EU’s restrictions on Japanese food products.
To that end, Japan and Finland will continue to strengthen cooperation.
