Berlin, 16 September 2021 (TDI): Germany’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Heiko Maas congratulated Dominic Raab on his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Chancellor, and Secretary of State for Justice. Heiko Maas also welcomes Liz Truss that was appointed Foreign Secretary and will lead The Foreign Commonwealth & Development. Maas also stated that he is excited to work with Truss and hopes to see her next week at the United Nations General Assembly.
Boris Johnson, the UK Prime Minister, has reshuffled his cabinet moving Dominic Raab from Foreign Secretary to Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary. In the reshuffle at the top of Johnson’s administration, Raab was also appointed as the Lord Chancellor. Raab will be replaced as Foreign Secretary by Liz Truss, who will also serve as Minister for Women and Equalities.
