Islamabad (TDI): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday introduced ePayment 2.0 on the IRIS 2.0 portal to make tax payments easy across the country.
Through this system, taxpayers will be able to pay their taxes online directly from their bank accounts, either through internet banking, ATMs, or mobile banking.
FBR said the move is in line with the government of Pakistan’s vision to modernize Pakistan’s tax infrastructure.
“FBR is reinforcing its commitment to advancing tax administration and enhancing revenue collection through advanced digital solutions,” it said.

The ePayment system covers a wide range of taxes, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty, and Withholding Taxes.
Previously taxpayers had to switch between two different portals to make online tax payments. However, IRIS 2.0 allows both registered and unregistered taxpayers to make all tax payments through an easy-to-access portal, which has an improved user interface.
After the successful payment, they will receive a Computerized Payment Receipt (CPR) via email and SMS for an official confirmation.

“Through a secure, precise multi-step workflow, the system allows taxpayers to generate a PSID, complete payment through ADC channels and receive a Computerized Payment Receipt (CPR) in real-time, accessible for future compliance needs within IRIS,” the FBR said.
The portal also has an advanced PSID search feature which allows taxpayers to easily retrieve and confirm payment records.
