DUBAI, (DI): Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowler Rankings following a stellar performance in the recent three-match series against Australia.
Afridi took eight wickets across the series at an impressive average of 12.62, lifting him to the top of the rankings, now nine points ahead of second-placed Rashid Khan.
The 24-year-old Afridi had previously held the No. 1 ranking during the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India and has now regained his position with a dominant showing against Australia. This achievement is a major boost for Pakistan cricket as they set their sights on the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
Babar Azam Maintains No. 1 Spot in ODI Batting Rankings
Alongside Afridi’s rise, Pakistan’s captain and top batsman Babar Azam has retained his position as the No. 1 ranked ODI batsman.

Azam scored 80 runs across the three matches against Australia, maintaining an average of 80, and solidifying his place at the top of the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings.

Under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan secured a historic ODI series win against Australia, defeating them at home for the first time in 22 years.
Fast bowler Haris Rauf played a key role in the victory, claiming the ‘Player of the Series’ award with 10 wickets across the three matches.
