Lahore (TDI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the Indian cricket team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
This was confirmed by PCB spokesperson Sami Ul Hasan Burney to an international news agency.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board has received an email from the ICC (International Cricket Council), stating that the Indian Board has informed them that their team will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025,” the PCB spokesman told AFP.
The confirmation comes a day after PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was yet to convey their official position on travelling to Pakistan for the mega event.

Talking to the media in Lahore on Friday, Naqvi said that for the last two months, there have been reports in the Indian media related to the team’s travel plans.
However, he said the Indian board hadn’t communicated anything to the ICC or the PCB in this regard.
When asked whether Pakistan will adopt a ‘hybrid model’ for the Champions Trophy if India refuses to travel, the PCB chief said he would seek the government’s guidance on the matter.
“Pakistan has continued to show good gestures and we hope that we are not expected to show good gestures each time,” Naqvi said, adding: “We have a clear stance that they must give it to us in writing if they [the Indian cricket board] have any issues. Till today, we have not spoken about any hybrid model, but we’re ready to speak on this.”
