Kabul, 28 August 2021 (TDI): The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) requested humanitarian aid in Afghanistan for the winter season to safeguard human beings and animals’ life.
FAO is working for the last many years for the betterment of food availability and sustainability in Afghanistan. Because of long-lasting war and civil strife, food insecurity has been prevailing in Afghanistan. Many organizations had worked for that purpose, but FAO is playing a substantial role.
FAO is committed to serving the Afghan people despite the financial gap. In current circumstances organization warned about severe drought which will badly affect the farmers and other poor families. FAO Director-General appealed that only agricultural assistance can counter the worse circumstances of the drought. Our less support and negligence in the field of agriculture would lead them into a food crisis.
