Islamabad, 14 October 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara attended the 14th Annual Rural Women Leadership Conference. It took place in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad.
The EU is also a supporter of this great initiative in Pakistan. The representatives of the EU expressed their interest to support the rural women leadership in the numerous challenges that rural women face. It will also help to provide public services and access to the labor market.

The EU ambassador to Pakistan also met with the delegation of rural women leaders in Pakistan before the meeting. She appreciated their determination and hard work for women empowerment in Pakistan. She also expressed her commitment to supporting them in developing the rural community. The ambassador also acknowledged the contribution of women in agriculture and other small businesses to enhance the economy and prosperity of Pakistan. She also expressed her will to unlock the rural resources for the women so they can get greater opportunities to contribute to the economy of their country.
