Belgrade, 14 October 2021 (TDI): The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, received the Foreign minister of the Republic of Iraq, Fuad Hussein. On Tuesday, the meeting took place at the office of the Prime minister of Serbia.

The two discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Serbia. The Prime Minister of Serbia also conveyed her wishes on the success of legislative elections of the Iraqi government.

Iraq and Serbia shar a common background as both were part of the Ottoman Empire. The ties between the two are mainly based on military trade. The two share a common stance on issues of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
