14 June 2021 (TDI): The acting special envoy of the European Union for Afghanistan, Tomas Niklasson arrived in Pakistan this morning and met with Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq to deliver on the role of the European Union on the subject.
In an official statement, the European Union delegation to Pakistan said the meeting was held as an attempt to reach out to regional partners on the Afghan Peace efforts.
The European Union and Pakistan have been committed to enabling progress in the Peace Process in the past too. In today’s meeting, the two representatives discuss the ways in which a constructive environment for the Afghan Peace Process can be enabled.
