Australian High Commissioner mesmerized in Hunza Valley

-

14 June 2021: Dr. Geoffrey Shaw, the High Commissioner of Australia to Pakistan, was captivated by the enchanting beauty of the Hunza Valley. He was recently on a visit to the Northern areas of Pakistan. He took his memorable visit to Twitter where he commended the exotic valley saying, ‘Wonderful to visit #Hunza during spring with blossom trees in full bloom. It’s a beautiful place filled with stunning landscapes.’

He has also appreciated the ‘hospitable’ nature of the people of the valley who always welcome guests with open arms and never disappoint them.  Furthermore, he recalled that the mesmerizing beauty of Hunza is such that it was the brainchild of Shangri-La, a mystical utopian valley, portrayed by James Hilton in his 1933 book, ‘Lost Horizon’. This valley with its high-peaked mountains, pellucid blue lakes, colorful trees and flowers, and ancient fairy-tale-like forts is a famous tourist attraction in the country.
