EU and Swedish Ambassador met Zambian Energy Minister

Lusaka, 29 September 2021 (TDI): Peter Chibwe Kapala, the Zambian Minister of Energy, held a meeting with the Ambassadors from Sweden and European Union to engage in discussions of several development programs.

The major aim of the meeting was the provision of sustainable and clean energy in Zambia. Along with it, the attendees also discussed the renewable energy resources in Zambia. Clean cooking was also brought to light, and the energy minister acknowledged working for clean cooking in the country.

Furthermore, suggestions were tabled for various energy reforms, including the reforms in Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (ZESCO). The Swedish and EU ambassador also affirmed the Minister about future cooperation with Zambia.

Lastly, aggravated and smooth trade among Zambia, the EU, and Sweden was also brought to light. The conference ended at peace, and all parties agreed to work for the better future of the people and government of Zambia.
