Egyptian President Interacted with Palestinian Counterpart

Cairo, 2 September 2021(TDI):  Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday. Both leaders emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts in the coming months to support the Palestinian position with a diplomatic solution and political settlement.

The two leaders discussed a wide range of issues and agreed to strengthen bilateral, regional, and international cooperation on mutually beneficial issues. Both presidents emphasized the importance of resuming negotiations and consolidating the truce between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

Egyptian President vowed to continue Egypt’s efforts in support of the Palestinian cause, in collaboration with Palestinian brothers, with the goal of assisting the Palestinian people in regaining their legitimate rights in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions. On his part, President Abbas expressed gratitude for Egypt’s ongoing efforts and endeavors in advocating the Palestinian cause. He also praised Egypt for its magnificent and steadfast role in the pursuit of a just and long-term solution to the Palestinian issue.
